Verify external transfer account
About this task
The Verify External Transfer Account page is used to confirm ownership of an external account. If verification is required, you must complete the account verification for each new external transfer account to activate the account. Once activated, the account can be used for transfers.
The verification process consists of the following steps:
Procedure
The system generates two deposits, in the form of micro-deposits, and deposits these funds to the defined external account. Once the deposits have been made, the status of the account is changed from In Process to Verify. The Verify status lets you know that the deposits have been made and that you can check the account for the deposit amounts.
You must access the external account to find out the exact amount for each deposit. Make a note of these amounts, as you will need to enter the exact amounts to complete the verification process.
Enter the amounts in the fields provided on the Verify External Transfer Account page to verify account ownership. After successfully verifying the information, the status of the account changes to active. The account can now be used to create transfers.
