Issue Maintenance

When you click Fraud Control > Manage > Issue Maintenance, the Issue Maintenance page appears. The issue information that is displayed in the list is based upon your account and functional entitlements.

Search

This section enables filtering the list by account, issue type, status, single date, or date range.

Select

These check boxes enable users to select one or more issues to approve or reject.

Note: A check box appears only if the entry has "Pending Approval" status, and the user did not create the issue. You cannot approve your own issues.

The entire Select column appears only if Issue Maintenance is configured for dual authorization in Class of Service.

Check Number(s)
Check Number

Clicking the Check Number(s) or Check Number link enables users to view, modify, or delete a request.

The column label that is displayed is determined by the configuration of the SMS Host setting in SAM. You will see one of two column headers based on whether SMS Host setting is enabled or not.

Account

The number and name of the account involved in the issue or void instruction

Issue Type

The issue type indicates the type of instruction

Options include:

  • Issue Add
  • Issue Delete
  • Void Add
  • Void Delete
Amount

The amount of the transaction involved in the issue or void instruction

Note: This amount only appears if the Check Number field has a single value.
Issue Date

For issue add and delete records, this field is the date the check was written in the mm/dd/yyyy format.

For void add and delete records, this field is optional.

Status

The Status column displays one of the following to describe the issue or void instruction:

  • Pending Approval (see note)
  • Rejected
  • Scheduled
  • Sent
Note: The status “Pending Approval” is used only if a company is configured for dual authorization on Issue Maintenance. In addition, if the user is authorized as an approver (and is not the creator of the issue), then the status is a hyperlink, which enables the user to approve the instruction.
Source

The Source column indicates how the issue was created with either of the following:

  • Manual – Created manually through the Issue Maintenance user interface.
  • Exception – Created as a result of the positive pay exception process.
Timestamp

The Timestamp column displays the date and time the request was initiated.

Note: The displayed time is relative to the financial institution's time zone.
